Carmen Alarcón (b. Guadalajara, Mexico) is a visual artist and graphic arts researcher in Guadalajara, where she lives and works. Carmen has been twice honored at “El Salón de Octubre” and winner of the Contemporary Design Award Hugo Salinas Price. Her work is in major private collections. She is currently section editor of the magazine Graphic Culture Grafilia in her hometown. She was recognized in November 2010 for her seven years of continuous monthly publication of that cultural section.
