Judith Jaidinger (b. Chicago 1941) was awarded a full scholarship from the Chicago Public School Art Society to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her BFA in 1970. Starting in 1964 she worked as a commercial wood engraver at the Sander Wood Engraving Co. located at “Printers Row” Chicago, and continued as an engraver at the Zacher Studio also in Chicago. From 1969 to 1970 she worked at Red line Press in Chicago where she honed her skill as a printer. She has participated in national and international exhibitions continually since 1966. Her prints are in many collections, among these are: Springfield Art Museum, MO; Portland Art Museum, OR; The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Hawaii; Purdue University, IN; Smithsonian National Museum of American history, DC. She is an elected member of the Society of Wood Engravers and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in the UK
