Anne Farley Gaines (b. 1954, Grand Rapids, MI) BA from Principia College, Elsah, IL and her MFA from Bowling Green State Univ., Bowling Green, OH. She is a painter who works in a variety of 2-D and 3-D media, and has done numerous public commissions, most notably for Sara Lee Corporation and for the City of Palos Heights. Her most recent endeavor was a 26’x72’ mural for San Jose Obrero Mission in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, for which she received a NAP Grant from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. Gaines has also been a 2-time recipient of a CAAP Grant and an IAC Chairman’s Grant.
