Thomas Lucas (b. USA) earned his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and his BFA in printmaking from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. He has taught at Tyler School of Art, The School of the Art Institute, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Anchor Graphics, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Beacon St. Gallery, and Gallery 37. Awards include 3 C.A.A.P Grants, Gibbs Foundation Project Grant and Dew Foundation, Visual Arts Chair, The Chicago Academy for the Arts. Director of Printmaking Lillstreet Art Center. Founder and Master Printer at Hummingbird Press also at Lillstreet Art Center. Published artists such as Kerry Marshall, Richard Hunt and Preston Jackson. Lucas’ own artworks included in various private and public collections, exhibits nationally and abroad.
